Richmond Road Race

It was a beautiful day for the Richmond Road Races (5k, 10k). There must have been about 500 runners because I took 1500 photos, averaging 3 per runner. Even though it was hovering around zero degrees, my hands still froze. But that is the price you pay to get some great shots in the winter!

Family Portraits

We are proud to announce that we now offer family portrait sessions. We can accommodate groups of up to 14 people. Our studio is in a relaxed environment where you can sit back and think about the various poses you would like, and not have to worry about the time. We will take multiple pictures of each pose then select the best image from each for post processing. The final product is provided in three forms: color, black and white, and antique. You can see examples here.

Custom School Photos

I don't know about you, but I am tired of my kids coming home from school with terrible school pictures. One good picture out of ten does not cut it in my book. All kids are photogenic, but unfortunately the reality of in-school photography is that both the photographer and the kids are rushed.

Sanshou Tournament

I was honored to be the official event photographer at the Fang Shen Do Sanshou tournament held in Casselman Ontario. There were 24 fighters, 12 matches, and a couple of gallons of sweat including my own. I find the event to be technically challenging (lighting, having to rely on flashes, fast moving fighters) as well as physically challenging. I was bobbing all around the place, trying to get good angles while at the same time trying not to block the enthusiastic fans. By the time you read this, the pictures should be uploaded and ready to go!

HintonBurg Centennial 5K/1K

The weather was a little grim today, at least for those of us with cameras. The sun did shine through for the second half of the race, and he rain only amounted to an annoying mist.

All in all it was a fun event, lots of great pictures including some of a pregnant woman flashing her belly as she ran past me!

Canada Road Race

We were the official photographers of the Bushtukah Canada Day Road Race, held in Kanata. The rain held off today, thankfully, which allowed for some nice shots of the runners. We are uploading/indexing 2000 images now, hopefully will be finished shortly.
